Just FYI, try the 64-bit version of FF - it is called waterfox. All addons should be compatible, settings are transferred automatically. It did get the ver 11 update too.
It amazed me how much faster than FF it is. Loads pages in the blink of an eye. I've used it only for a day now, but I love it.
thanks! coming from pale moon, this is a noticeable speed increase. we shall see about stability though i suspect it will be fine though!

Thanks, giving it a try now. Haven't really noticed any performance difference. It is using more memory, but not a lot more. But since I'm on a 64 bit OS might as well use a 64 bit browser.

Not sure how much it matters, if at all, but they have links to 64-bit versions of flash, java and silverlight on their download page too. Maybe combining the 64-bit browser with 64-bit plugins helps some.. maybe not. I installed them anyway. everything works fine, and I still think it is much faster than my Firefox install.
I haven't compared memory usage between Waterfox and Firefox, but 64-bit apps generally do use more. Even if it does, as long as it is fast, it can use whatever it wants - that's why I bought the memory after all. hehe

I also downloaded all the 64 bit plugins and I do believe it makes a difference.

The 32 bit plugins might not even work for 64 bit version. I have run into issues on a few other similar things regarding 32 vs 64 plugins. I will give the 64bit firefox a try.

Installed Waterfox today. My Flash plugin is working, which I assume is 32 bit since it's the same plugin I was using with Firefox. All my extensions seem to be working.
And since I'm so used to Chrome now, I installed the FXChrome Theme as well. Wow, it looks exactly like Chrome now.

Just installed Waterfox. It is indeed noticeably faster.
