Definitely sticking to Win 7. No reason to even consider upgrading.

This laptop is still on vista, I`ll be upgrading. If it was on 7 I wouldn't bother.

Same here. Windows 7 does everything I need and does it well. If it ain't broke, I don't fix it. Plus I don't plan on giving MS another extortionate upgrade fee unless and until I really need to!

Voted No, assuming Win8 won't change much by release.
If it does and becomes awesome, I'll switch. Not much of a chance of that happening though.

With this computer I'm sticking with XP.
Hopefully I'll be building a new computer in the next couple of months. Which will have Win7 since Win8 won't be out yet. And I'm pretty sure I'll just keep Win7 on it.

Earlier I would have said yes. I was planning to upgrade my main desktop to Windows 8. With the first developer's build we could use a reg edit to bring the original Windows Start menu back up, so it was possible to make the UI mostly desktop friendly again.
Now after using the consumer build. I'm leaning towards not upgrading. It's disappointing Microsoft removed the option to restore the old Start menu. And the keyboard and mouse interaction with Metro apps is extremely inconsistent and poor. I feel like I'm giving up too much and not getting enough back in return now to justify the upgrade.
With a few more months to go before release Microsoft could surprise me and maybe make the Metro UI more desktop friendly. So we'll see.
Also don't have any plans for a Windows 8 tablet this year. The Windows Market is still surprisingly anemic. I would have thought I'd see more apps in it by now. So I may wait on that too.

Sticking with 7 too, but I didn't want to vote first not to influence future votes.
As for many in this thread, 7 does everything I want, and without a lousy user interface and some unneeded and annoying fluff, along with more "security" measures which are only a nuisance for advanced computer users, not to mention the damned locked boot loader. I'm sure 8 will have a lot of success among the general customer though (those who should have bought a Mac instead of a PC maybe... but it's smart from Microsoft to attack that market share).
