Wearing a short sleeve t-shirt and a long sleeve t-shirt together is fine. Just put the small one on bottom.

I don't own any long sleeve shirts.
I own thermal underwear, and when it's cold I wear the tops beneath one of my t-shirts. It would look really stupid if I stuffed a t-shirt beneath the already snug fitting thermal top.

Some of us work for a living. In winter I'll often head out of the house wearing..
Skin-tight thermal shirt (long sleeved).
T-Shirt
Pull-over sweatshirt
Jacket/windbreaker
Then you shed layers and get back to T-shirt over thermal part of the time.
It's not a fashion statement, it's just comfort and convenience.

Some of us do it because we work outside. The ability to shed and replace layers trumps fashion concerns.
This makes sense... doing it as a fashion style not so much.

I buy shirts with the faux long sleeve attached just inside where the short sleeve shirt ends. I feel deceitful when I do to be honest.
Where does this fit in the "cool" spectrum?
