On oil:
Oil will go $200 by Sept. Mexico, Britain will become oil importers by 2009 and no longer exporters (supply will drop). Russia has already said they cannot meet future contracts and we have not had one real crisis yet in the supply chain.
The Stock Market:
I predict the Dow will drop and then go to ratio of 1:6 with gold (now its 1:12) by 2009.
Banks:
I expect Lehman will go under as well as Wamu, and BoA. Freddie and Frannie will go into conservatorship and the US credit rating will be downgraded by 2009. The Fed will come in and nationalize all banking
Economy as a Whole:
The economy is in the toilet and making the last big spiral. X-Mas this year will be the harbinger as more tent cities prop up and media starts comparing these to Hoovervilles. Inflation will be 20%
and the Swiss Franc, Austalian Dollar, Canadian Dollar will pass parity with the USD. I fully expect the Norwegian Krone to be 4:1 to the dollar
Commodities :
Gold will hit $1k again in Sept, $1500 by December and $2500 by June 2009. Silver will be $20, $27
and $50 respectively. There will be gas lines in the summer of next year and possibly food lines
HOUSING
Over 4 million homes will be vacant by 2009. Crime will rise as squattters claim these lost properties as well as bulldozers tearing them down.
STATES
I predict Florida, Arizona, California and Massachussettes will be insolvent for all intents and purpose by 2010.
We will experience hyperinflation by 2010 as Washington refuses to relase its grip on power.
By 2009 Ford will go bankrupt or be bought by a European automaker (most likely VW). Chrysler the same fate or disappear. GM will disappear
