1. Oregon's helmets. We knew the Ducks' helmets for Monday's trip to Pasadena were going to be different, but the promotional photos released by Nike last week didn't really convey just how bizarre the mirrored lids were going to look in action. Rather than the ominous, Darth Vader-y look suggested by the darkened photo shoot, it looks like someone is wearing a freshly polished chrome fender off a 1967 Firebird.
They're not doing anyone in the late afternoon sun any favors, either: ESPN's in-game broadcasters, Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit, complained in the first quarter that the glare from the lids made it difficult to identify players' numbers from the press box. They were so distracting during pregame warmups that there was some discussion of whether the mirrored look was even legal. (It is.)

Those helmets should be illegal but I give props to Oregon for their uniforms. They have managed to pull it off and make it work.
No other team can though. Notre Dame's big 4 leaf clover and UCLA's lame white helmets just come off as stupid. I mean ffs, you don't mess with tradition. If a Trojan team came out in anything but the stunningly gorgeous USC uniforms and helmets the Trojan family would want to lynch somebody. You do not mess with tradition. When UCLA came out in their white helmets and got spanked 50-0 they looked so foolish I was embarrassed for them.
Tradition. Don't mess with it! 
I respect Oregon because they started it, and made it their tradition. They can get away with it, and they do it with style. Everyone else who does it comes off like a wanna be who forgot who they are.
That does not include something like what Wisconsin did. Making the "W" into roses was understated, elegant and did not really mess with tradition. From a few feet away you could ID the Badger uniform no problem, it looked like it always has.

Only problem I have with Oregon's many uniforms is when they wear black. You can't just start using one of your arch rivals colors because you are jealous of them.

The problem is the reflection. As Seething said, matte them and you should be OK. I also thought they looked badass. Oregon usually does.
For example they looked badass when they lost to USC.

Even with the loss of scholarships, USC will be co-favorites with Oregon to win the Pac 12 next year.
Stanford will drop back to the middle of the Pac.

it's oregon's relationship with the owner of Nike that is responsible for their uniforms...Nike uses the ducks as a showcase/testing ground for their new tech.......also along with the reflective helmets the jerseys also had a sheen effect to them similar to duck feathers in shifting light...and i didn't notice but evidently the numbers changed brightness depending on the lighting(?)
