I also like how in their "open pvp zone" you get zero rewards for actually pvping and massive rewards for trading objectives. It's like they learned NOTHING from WAR and even doubled down on the system by making trading the ONLY way to advance.
P.S. If they were going to nerf SIs soon they should have already done it. It's been apparent for months in the beta that they are ridiculously overpowered, particularly in PVP, and particularly in huttball. They will get a nerf but probably not for at least a month, in which time they'll all have full PVP kit.

i intend to roll alts and just do the main story line quests, supplementing my leveling with space combat and warzones

It's just really noobish is what it is. If they had even sat down with some serious PVPers for an hour and explained the system they were creating they would have figured out what a bad system it was in a lot of ways.
In fact, they gave the game to a bunch of serious pvpers for MONTHS, got detailed feedback, and then did nothing to address that feedback at all. So you have a game where people get rewarded for making their team lose in the warzones and for objective swapping in their "world pvp" zones.
