This thread is a great example of half the problem though. Americans are so divided and blinded by who's side they're on that they think it's a victory when their guy does what the other guy did. Rather than pointing fingers at each other and calling people out, we should be calling the government out, right and left. I don't see that happening any time soon though.

Turns out we were right.
Congressional oversite of Presidential appointments has now been circumvented by Obama. Democrats are going to HATE when Congress can't block appointments like they did regarding G.W. Bush.

Sure, but most of us on the right also opposed the Patriot Act from day one and became more and more aware and pissed off with Bush as the years went by and he kept eroding (more like destroying) our freedoms.
Outposters on the left, however, are still backing Osamba even though he is the same thing as Bush.
