You are working 15hrs a day for 8hrs pay. No way will they fire you. You are probably the lowest paid employee by a huge amount.

Want out? Put in your 8 (maybe 10) and go back to the warehouse, done or not. Let them write you up every day. Keep copies of the writeups, the actual hours you work, and your logbooks.

as long as he is salary they can work him as long as they want for as little pay as they want.
salary gets around min wage requirements.
ive been there. ive tested it.

was working 60hrs/wk (10hr days x 6) for $350/wk.
i put in my 40hrs, one week, and didnt show back up till monday.
when i got there my tool box was outside. i loaded it up and headed straight to the unemployment office. i filed for unemployment (which was denied) and i logged a complaint with the labor department for paying less than min wage for that many hours.
the only violations they were found to be breaking was lunch hours. no shop ever make people punch out to take lunch. typically you work with a burger in one hand and a wrench in the other because if you leave youll miss out on a good job or two.
so in the end, unless you are punching out, or otherwise logging your lunch time, they are breaking the law by not allowing you a lunch period.

He's got DoT regulations to uphold. In order to work those hours he has to be forging logbooks.

I've was fired at this one company. The manager who fired me said that the reason I was fired was that I was overheard being rude to a important customer of the company. I had to go to an unemployment hearing to prove I was fired 'through no fault of my own'. During the Unemployment hearing my old manager stated for the record in front of the judge that I had called their VIP customer vulgar names.

When it was my turn to defend myself, I had it prearranged for the judge to call this VIP customer. My ex boss had no idea the judge would be using her as a witness. On SPEAKER PHONE the customer went on and on about what a good service she had gotten from me and that I didn't cuss at her or that she didn't even think I was the type of person to swear. The look on my ex bosses face was priceless. I was able to collect unemployment insurance right away.

Good for you. If I get fired it will be because of poor sales numbers, not keeping good enough inventory, too many spoils/returns. Hard to argue with that since I'm clearly not perfect

Great job IMHO

If youre working more than 8 hrs a day... Then keep a logbook. Make a case that they require you to work overtime regularly but you are not compensated for it. Then sue them. The employment board will also press charges. If you find a new job, quit then sue them. You can get $5000 easily... Maybe more.

Like i said, just keep logs.

At my parents business where the workers had to use time cards.. One of the workers made up a big farce (after she was fired)) about how she was forced to work without using the timecard and she kept records. Now there really is no possible way to verify the records are real or not but the employment board or whatever it is tends to protect the little person in these situations.

My parents had no choice but to pay her off.
