Unless it's actually taken apart in pieces on your table and literally impossible to function... that weapon is loaded.

I wonder how much fallout this will cause in that section of the military and community. It seems like a very serious judgment fail but admittedly 22 is pretty young when it comes to critical judgment calls, especially when sex is involved (assuming that he was trying to impress the girl).
