Its only terrible for those that have to buy it or are forced to buy it. The people selling it stand everything to gain. Not the consumer.

Ok, so I did some digging on this because I was curious and wanted to know who was responsible for this POS legislation. Wanna see something kinda trippy?

So here is the bill as listed on Govtrack.

From there, I did a look up on the Roll Call for the Senate, which I sorted by party (link)

The list of Republican Senators that voted for this bill?

Please note, I'm not blaming republicans. I just think the coincidence between those that voted for the bill and then immediately had bad crap happen to them is striking.

It's almost as if some unseen hand was at work meting out karmic retribution for failing to vote against a bill that was bad for oil and energy companies

This is government at its worse. I can see the liberal excuse for removing the law. "We cannot afford it. It is not paid for."

More important than who voted for it is which lobbyists pushed it. It would be funny if it was the same companies who are now paying the fine the ones who lobbied for it to pass.
