Is there a search engine out there that is a good alternative to Google? Not personalized, not optimized, not localized, not based on things "they" figure I might be interested in. Just a plain old search. Does anything like that even exist anymore?

Bing might still do some stuff. DuckDuckGo is supposed to be just pure search.

Bing is actually pretty nice these days. I've been using it as my home page for a while now just for the daily picture

My homepage is bing and the only thing I ever bing is google. I figure I must be causing some M$ brander somewhere to tear out their hair.
