I think it starts out as a chemical reaction/lust type and matures into the partnership/"I choose to do loving things for you because I care about your happiness" type. So I chose ideal of ideals.

It's where two people decide to ignore all the crap they hate about each other, and concentrate on having lots of sex, or later in the relationship, buying lots of crap.... so they wont have to think about how much they would rather be with someone else about half the time.

Have you seen them live? They're great! I didn't really know them but then I saw them do an acoustic set as one of the early bands in one of those epic mega shows. I went out and bought one of their CDs the next day. I play it about as often as I play anyone else these days. Music, vocals, lyrics... they're very good at all three.

I'll wax pathetically emo on this, but Death Cab kinda hit the nail on the head 'Love is watching someone die'. Parternership is the only way to describe that level of devotion.
