USC was a well deserved 6th in the AP this season, why is it so hard to imagine them at #2 next season?

Exacly! They were #6 and we know AZ bitchslapped them. This year they have to rebuild their line, so that moves them out of the top 10 not up!
Beside we know Barkley knows he still needs a Lot of work!

USC will finish higher than LSU next year. I don't know that I would rate USC over Oregon though. It's close but I think I'd give the edge to the Ducks.
I don't see a clear #1 right now.
