Thank you for you dog lovers who had good advice.
Sabien now has a pen that goes the width of my 2 1/2 car garage and is about 10 feet out.
He does not have to be on a chain in his pen..a first for him in his life.
He has a 2 room dog house that my man built him..it is "L" shaped so he can sorta feel like he has a den. We put straw everywhere for him..and his food/water area has a tarp over it to keep it nice for him.
We got his papers..he is called a Blue Eyed Panda according to the papers..and he is 8 years old..older than I thought.
He is also a big baby..not mean at all. He like to kiss us  He also makes this sound that sounds just like Chewbaka <sp?> so we call him Chewie most the time lol.
We will see how things go..he actually seems pretty happy.

 Nice to hear things are going well and the doggie is happy. They are such a great dog. Especially when they have most of their needs met.

That husky "woowoowoowoowoo" is the breed's trademark! If you want to hear something eerie and beautiful, get him to howl. Sometimes all it takes is to play a clip of a wolf or dog howling.

Azure, he howls everytime we leave him ;(, but he soon gets over it.
Straw is breeding ground for fleas? It is winter here now..so not worried atm..but what is best?

when i was a kid we had a dog that loved his dog house.
we lined it with straw one winter, thinking hed stay a little warmer and be a little more comfy.
he developed a flea problem. no matter how much we bathed him and flea collar'd him, he would keep coming back with fleas.
someone finaly told my parents that its the straw.
we just left his house bare. he loved it.
if he wanted warm and comfy, he came inside and laid on the floor.
let your dog in the house when he wants to be warm and comfy with the rest of his pack
