I grew up in Pittsburgh during the ere oa Lynn Swann, Franco Harris, Rocky Bleir and Terry Bradshaw. I love football. It is more then just waiting for plays, it is akin to a brutal chess match.
But I also love "football" aka soccer. I grew up playing it, I understand the complexity and beauty of it and on most days if I have to watch a sport, I will choose English Premier League.
It's not impossible to see the awesomeness of both.

Both are great sports. Football really caters to a much wider spectrum of athletes. There are few sports that are able to demonstrate the athletic prowess of 340 lb men and also display the speed of 180 lb men. It is a great combo of brute strength, speed, quickness, quick thinking, mental toughness, stamina, and strategy.
Soccer is great too. Probably my second favorite sport.
