There is a difference between killing and cruelty, vets and meat packers kill quickly, the guy down the street throwing puppies into boiling water is getting his jollies off watching them suffer.

Animal cruelty laws are a huge joke

Dogs were the first animals to be domesticated. They've been a part of our culture and lives going back 30,000 years. Cats about half that time.
Dogs have been relied on to be everything from hunting partners to nannies to guardians and beyond. Cats have been huge assets in the removal of rodents and other small pests that are harmful to our health. Both are status symbols that have long been associated with kings and royalty.
We have a long and symbiotic relationship with these animals - our law reflects that.

Thats what the biggest joke is. People can kill cats and dogs all they want as long as they are licensed to but if they are not then its just cruel!!!!

Funny. Let the animal rights people go play in the wild for a few weeks. We'll see how many humans rights laws the animals live by.
