As if EA devs have any say in anything.

I'm not even sure EA devs had anything to do with it. Bioware runs the forums.

Isn't Bioware part of EA?

Yep, EA has also started whoring up Biowares name by adding all their minor studios under the brand.

Yeah, that patch was bad for Ilum (the pvp planet).

If you are anything of a serious gamer, the game is so easy, that yeah, you can see everything in the game within the first month of play. There is zero need for a revolving sub for the game.

whats so great about APB ? i mean, i havent played GTA much, I didnt enjoy it. I cannot imagine an mmo of GTA would be any fun....

Only "great" thing about APB is the fact you can play dress up in that game...other than that it's just half arsed third person shooter that just happens to cater to emos and metrosexuals.

thanks, yeah i figured it would be no good

Wouldn't the worst time to take down the forums be when the game is patching?

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Not when you have a million angry subscribers with nothing else to do.

It tells you something about their game that they routinely disable posting on the forums when the game is down for patching.

MMO gamers need to make up their mind. do they want the grind or not want the grind?

Im not a big fan of the grind, but to an extent, its necessary. It means nothing if you get to max level in a week. The investment in time is what keeps players interested. They have a stake in the game they play. There is a limit though. Games like EQ, where they had hell levels went overboard. WoW, for all the faults people have heaped on it, got it right in the beginning. It was tough to get to max level, and tougher still to get decent gear. But it was achievable with hard work. It gave players an "ownership" in the game and kept them there. Call of Duty is the same way.
