I would hire him for his specialization in a heart beat. He went to Boalt Law School. This is probably the best public law school in the USA.

Haha I had a class with John Yoo. He would tell funny stories about how the hippies would come try to protest him at his home but they couldn't figure out which was his home because it was up on a hill. He'd sit on his veranda with a martini and look down at them from 60 feet above. 
He was a pretty funny guy and a pretty good teacher. Although obviously not a very good government lawyer.
