Just visited Impulse's forums. Impulse is the ironically-named company Game Stop has apparently partnered with to deliver digital content.

Anyway, lots of people seem to be bitching about this same problem.

I have used impulse in the past before they were partnered with gamestop and never had any problems. I can't speak to their service now. I never waited a day.

If you're looking for older games, ALWAYS check GOG.com first.

In fact, if you have a Facebook account, find them there and Like them. Whenever they get new games it'll update on your feed.

Never had anything like that happen, however... I would bet they hold up online orders for online delivery to check the order for fraud. It's to the point now in our own business that we assume an online order is fraudulent unless and until proven otherwise. All our online orders get looked over by humans before they're signed off on.


Of course in our business the orders are coming from spammers and bot herders who have stolen credit cards and want a server or VPS from us to run more bots from so we get hit by it more than retailers do, but I still wouldn't envy them.


All the above pertains only to Gamestop. I've used Impulse (I'm a Sins of a Solar Empire junky) and never had to wait to receive a digital download purchase, but then again I haven't purchased anything via impulse for well over a year+ now.
