It take a special combination to run and make it. You need to have some sort of history in public service, be part of the 1%, and very developed political and social skills.

You don't have to be part of the 1%. You just have to be willing to work for them.
In fact they'd probably prefer you not be too well known that way they can construct the narrative that best suits their needs.

I thought about it  Then I realized that I don't think I want that job.
