Nobody in my family even knows who Ron Paul is. Nobody I have discussed the election with has even a basic concept of who Paul is, let alone what he stands for.

Ron Paul gets a lot of play on the internet but the bias his supporters perceive against him in the media is actually indifference born from the fact that he isn't relevant in the real world.

This isn't a troll post aimed at the over-zealous Ron Paul fans, I'm seriously telling you - outside of the internet he barely exists.

Sadly, you are both right and wrong. He is an internet fad, but he isn't irrelevant. Ron Paul will have the 2nd most delegates at the Republican convention.

Your relatives don't know who he is because the main stream media doesn't tell them. The mainstream media doesn't tell them because they want to squash his message. The internet is the only place that he can't be stifled.

Ron Paul may not become President but he will decide who the next President will be. If he doesn't endorse the Republican nominee, then Obama will win. If he does endorse the Republican nominee, then that guy will win.

I doubt he'd endorse any of the other 3. I think he sees them in the same boat as Obama, and he's right.

I'm guessing you're too far away from the now voting 'internet generation' that make an internet fad kind of a big deal.

You're saying it's an internet fad as if only some small strange demographic uses the internet. There is an internet outside of the outpost.

Plenty of people I know would recognize Ron Paul before Santorum or Gingrich or even Romney in some cases. He's a nut but he's got his people.

It's a shame many people see him coming in fourth as a good thing. He's hands down more sane than any of the other three just based on one issue alone, war with Iran. His stances on other issues are better than any of the others as well. It's a shame Paul won't be elected and it is because he comes off awkward and old. Presentation matters the most in today's voting process for most Americans.

I'm not rEVOLution guy by a long shot. But. Considering Paul has been:

in every major Republican debate this time around,
in most debates last time around,
on The View for God's sake,
on CNN and FOX about a dozen times apiece that I've personally seen
ridden hard by CNN over a couple stories (particularly the 'omg newsletter'
placed in the top 3 in Iowa
EVERYWHERE on the Internet

...there's pretty much only one conclusion I can make, here.

Your family is a bunch of shut-in, deaf blind and dumb Alzheimer's patients incapable of operating even the most basic of modern technology.

I hope the home they're in isn't costing you too much per month...
