Obama would have a field day with him.

A newt nomination would simply ensure an Obama 2nd term. Democrats know this and would love to see it happen.
Newt has so much baggage, you would see a negative ad campaign like no other before it. Tons and tons of ammo against him, he would be slandered into defeat.
