I think the Niners have the defense to shut down the Giants.
I'm not so sure why the other game is a foregone conclusion. Both Baltimore and NE are good teams. Either one has a fair chance of winning. I think Baltimore has the edge personally. I also think it's going to be a boring game. Baltimore is going to keep NE's defense on the field and win the game 3 yards at a time imo.

Baltimore's offense hasn't done that all year. Their scoring drives are mostly either short fields given to them by the defense or quick strikes involving a deep bomb from Flacco or a breakaway run from Rice. They don't have the stereotypical grind it out offense that you normally associate with strong defensive teams.

I have mixed emotions. On one hand I want to see the 49'ers win, then on the other hand I want to see them lose because they beat the Saints.
If they can get turnovers, they have a chance. Even with 5 turnovers, it came down to who had the ball last.
