What if every bank adopted this practice and you didn't have a choice to bank somewhere that did not, including credit unions.

Numbers provided by the FBI for Jan. 1 - Dec. 31, 2010 show a total of 5,628 robberies at banks nationwide, down a little more than 6 percent from the 5,943 bank robberies in the same period of 2009.
clicky

They certainly have an argument to implement it if they wanted to try.
How many airline flights were attacked in 2010 to justify TSA?

Depends on who is doing the patting down

No, I wouldn't. I would keep my money "under my mattress" or find a place that wanted my business.

So far I've made $0.02 in interest since they've had my money. I'm probably going to switch banks soon anyway.

If one coordinated bank robbery wiped out $50 billion.....there might be changes.

It's not that invasive unless you have to deal with it on a daily basis. Theres a reason you don't see mass protests in front of congress or the airports. It's much easier to just bitch on the internet than actually do something.

Sorry Kay, but you can't really make this argument after the latest Wall Street Scandal. Which made the economic fallout from 9\11 pale by comparison. And nothing has changed.

However, the idea of Investment bankers getting searched before and after work every day does have some appeal
