This is Spilt. I think it's safe to assume at least 50% of its use will involve the My Little Pony and Desperate Housewives intellectual properties.

I am getting the 580 because I will sli it next year or so and it will do ok until then.
The pc will be for gaming, photoshop, and some 3ds Max.

Get 16GB of RAM!!
It is SO fucking cheap now, treat yourself for more room to grow in.
3ds Max, hell, any Rendering can always use more mem once you start experimenting with bigger and more shaders, and if you're a 3D graphics whore, well, just know:
You'll thank me later.

get the unlocked i-2600k
kick PS up to 800
get the Thermaltake FRIO Overclocking Cooler Fan
other than that good build!
I went with a intel 510 ssd and it rocks with a 3 tb D Drive.
