So, if you came across say, car radios, tools, GPS, in your child's possession, and I am talking 10+ of each, you would do nothing and wait for the cops to knock on your door and find the stuff in your home or garage?
I know something this happened to, they found the stuff and believed the kid when he said, someone gave it all to me. Of course the paper had been running articles of car break ins in the area.
I'd tell him to keep it somewhere else, and if anyone ever asks I never knew. But, I wouldn't turn him in.

I'd only turn them in if they had done something to me or were putting something I care about in danger. Even then I'd go to their parents before hand and ask them how they want to do it.

So if you saw your neighbor's kid rape and murder your other neighbor's kid you'd go ask their parents what to do about it?

If I saw a violent crime being committed I'd call the police, but I wouldn't report a kid I heard did something or suspected of doing something.
