XIII was good and XIII-2 will probably be better because they learned from the gnashing and crying after XIII.

13 was horribad. So bad that as a lifelong fan of the series i'l likely never buy another one of the games.

I rented Final Fantasy 8 when it came out. It was awful. I tried Final Fantasy 12 a few years ago. It was also awful. My conclusion: the entire series is awful.
I'm always reminded of PC Accelerator's FF dig: "How can there be so many final fantasies? How about Another Fucking Fantasy?"

They ported the FF series over to IOS and they are charging a premium for each. Ripoff.
