The trick is to get good enough that you can do a day's worth of coding in about 45 minutes. Then you spend the rest of the day dicking around and pretending to work.

Get some books, read and practice all the time. It gets easier. I'm still learning. C++ is the easiest one id recommend. Then java.

Don't buy any damned books and don't read anything. Just keep winging it and using the force. That's what I do.

UML diagramming is really useful for structuring code in efficient ways. Planning can save a lot of headaches and a lot of time
