It happens. My buddy who was super broke at the time dropped 1500 one night. He went to the ATM 4 times. The funny thing about it was she was the oldest least attractive stripper there.

He'd always get super pissed, because whenever we used to go I'd always be like "we're just hanging out but maybe later" to the girls so they'd always flirt with me and come back by.

On a related note, we took a stick in the mud religious buddy to a really high class club for his bachelor party, and we'd paid a party rate so all the girls were really sweet to him, and he refused everything they offered even a quick lap dance. He told this cute asian girl that there's no way he'd let her touch him. I thought she was going to cry. He literally turned around and watched nascar on the big screen the whole night. It takes all kinds.

Read Jenna Jameson's autobiography. She describes in detail how she felt towards men from her stripper's perspective. In general, it is a game to young women. They have on going relationships with the other strippers and people who work at the strip club. This is their job. The more money they make, the more status, wealth and prestige they have. This may translate to self-worth. Many of these women are very young. They become conditioned to arousing men for money. I always tried to make myself as likable as possible to every stripper. Flirt with them genuinely. I have taken one home after the show once in my life. You have to believe you got a shot. Go with the flow of the moment. Only myself and a few connoisseurs are interested in the dynamics of aging strippers. They are genuinely interesting. Watch the Wrestler.

If you find yourself indulging in this behavior too frequently, especially if it hurts you financially, then you have to find a different way to satisfy your needs and desires. Don't dwell on your darker side. Accept yourself and move on.

I couldn't imagine spending 2k at a strip club.

In college a bunch of us thought we were smart by getting student loans so we could head over to Vegas and the Bunny Ranch.

I spent less on that entire trip. Probably got more out of it.

Would never do something like that again but it is a good story to talk about with my old college buddies.
