Agreed. But I still love In n' Out. They just opened a bunch here in Texas. I remember loving the Christ out of 'em in California, but here, my love is subdued most likely by maturity. They're still some lovely burgers, but they've made, of all goddamn places, WENDY'S react to their presence... local Wendy's now makes a much better burger. But In n' Out is still cheaper. Haven't had Five Guys Burger & Fries in a while. But... it doesn't have a drive-thru. So, In n' Out.

We don't have any of either around Chicago, they must not be very good. They've recently tried to bring sonic around here, but it's just the same stuff burger king has at higher prices and they're not doing too well.

Don't have any in and outs here.
For whoever was asking, Five Guys was actually started by a family in NoVa - Father and Mother + 4 Sons (hence 5 Guys). The shops they have in Va know what they are doing and are really good. Not sure how they are as a franchise though.
They win Best Burger in the DC Area year in and year out.

Most of the time you can find a much better burger at some local joint than any chain. The only exception so far has been Smashburger, but since we only have one here not sure how many franchises they have. The sincity burger is unreal as are the rosemary&garlic fries.
Ah hell, now I have to go get my fix.

Nothing special about in and out, there is hardly any meat on it. I havent been to five guys. In n out tastes good but its pretty simple.
My favorite is from a brewery where they get a nice char on it, good bun and avocado. Simple to make.

Five guys makes a pretty good burger.
The price is a bit high for it.
In and Out is like White Castles to me.
Not really that good but you go there anyway.

Never ate at In and Out. 5 Guys is good but annoying. Not being able to buy fries for one person is bullshit. I don't want enough fries for 2-3 people for 2.99. I just paid 7 bucks for a burger and now you're just trying to fuck me.
