Later that year I saw Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, Black Sabbath and Boston at Anaheim Stadium. I use to love festival style concerts but haven't been to a good one since the Us Festival.

It was very likely Peter, Paul and Mary, in the early 60's. I can't think of one before that.

Actually, I lied. When I was 10 I saw Warrant, Bullet Boys and Paradise Lost in Dayton. I was there against my will. But it was worth it. My brother's guitar teacher's band opened up...and when Warrant was on, the crowd ended up pushing through the security fence and people got crushed up against the stage. Next thing I know, my father (who was a 40-something school administrator at the time) was on stage, with the guitar teacher, pulling my brother up to get him out of there. All the while, Warrant was playing. And then there was some meth'd out naked dude who was trying to get my mom to take her shirt off. And then we left. That was really my first concert.

Loverboy or Tangerine Dream, can't recall which one came earlier. Pink Floyd's Pulse tour and Monsters of Rock (Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions and Van Halen) were a year or two after that.
