My wife has a friend who is about 10 years younger than we are and it seems her husband has been beating the crap out of her. So my wife calls me today and tells me what she found out and said this lady wanted to take her kids and get out but she was afraid of him could I grab mt buddy Greg and come over to the house and make sure they got away OK. So we leave work and get to the house and after a couple of minutes this lady says "Oh God there is my husband", we move up and get ready for all hell to break loose and this little, nerd it the only word that comes to mind, gets out and starts screaming. Seems those are his kids and his wife and no one is taking away anything that belongs to him, he really pushed all my buttons at once. I stayed calm and escorted him back to his car and told him he either had the choice of the police being called later if he behaved or if he caused problems he would be arrested in front of his kids now, he decided to leave at that point.
What makes guys act like that towards women? If you are having problems that bad either leave, hell even throwing her out would be better than beating her. My theory is that this guy takes a lot of crap in his life and the only people he can give it to are women, hopefully he left the kids alone.

Good on ya, doesn't sound like "nothing" though.
I could understand him being upset, his kids are being taken away, but you gonna beat someone over it? Not only douchebaggish, but that chief is just plain dumb. Harr, they're taking my kids away because I beat on them...RAAAGE!

Cowards and psychopaths beat on the people they claim to love.
Lots of reasons a person can be either of them, or both. One thing is for sure, the chances of her returning to him are much greater than the chances of her thanking you for helping in a day or two.
Doesn't matter, it was the right thing and hopefully....she will beat the odds.

They are staying with us tonight, her son is 10 and was thrilled when my son asked him if he wanted to help work on his truck, all I know about the girls is they are giggling a lot. My wife told me her friend's parents want her to move back home with them in Pennsylvania which would be nice because it would put some distance between them.

Hard to believe anyone would hurt the person they claim to love. What is wrong with them? Clearly that isnt love

I have gone through this numerous times in my life. Took women and kids in for 2 guys blowing all the money they had and equity loans for some wild money making idea. 2 for abuse and they are always mousey guys, couple for cheating... Sometimes I think that people just do not look for red flags when they are young and getting into a relationship. At least you are doing what you canbut getting involved can get weird too.
