Bad things tend to happen when Germans are unemployed. Very bad things.

They aren't, their industry is going full speed alongside the Swedish ore industry.
Sweden and Germany as trading partners is a history that goes back to the 1300's

My dear Euro-trash,
You are in for very very hard times. It has nothing to do with anything other than you've never really unified except in the one area that requires intense unification, and that is currency. The one person in government who has made any sense at all is the Slovakian president, so I'm sure he will not be re-elected. His speeches are worth listening to so of course everyone will ignore him.
Your one glimmer of hope is that the EU, specifically Germany, is China's largest trading partner but you know the old joke, what happens when two mercantilists enter the trading floor together.
In any event thanks for the ride on the EURO. Your Swiss brethren are ten paces ahead of the lot of you. I do wish you well though, a great chunk of my family is still living there.
Love,
Your American multiculturalism-trash.

We actually had nothing to do with that, we only prolonged the war a few years for our own benefit.
I mean capitalism you guys understand that, letting idiots suffer to make money.

Fair question. I'm sure the numbers are counted differently. Regardless of the US numbers though, this is bad news for Europe, eh? I'm hoping you have better luck than we have recently had.

This idiocy never ceases to amaze me.
In the US you have one formal language, English.
In China it's Mandarin.
Europe has no such uniformity when it comes to language or culture, and by and large no desire to transform into something that is like the US either. USA =/= EU and never will be.
When will yanks figure this out.
(yes even the Half-Breed Harpy Rosario...)

This is unhappy news. THe truth is the western democracies have too many social programs and not enough tax revenue to pay for them. Something will need to be done.
