.22 (I let it out of the net first, so it'd at least have a sporting chance)
I have never eaten possum, and I do not ever intend to do so. I used to skin them when I was trapping as a kid (they only brought a buck but several in with some coons made for more $$$).
Smelled NASTY. Nasty looking pink meat.

.22 is always fun. I used to find them at night in the field with mag lights, watch their eyes flash and put my cross hairs in between the eyes. Miss those days its all track homes now. No more shooting for me there. Dang city folk. Cant wait to move back out to the country.

I once reached into my dirty clothes hamper in our garage and heard a hissing sound. I was startled to see a possum nesting in my dirty clothes. What did I do? I looked around for a weapon. The only thing in close proximity was a large barbeque fork. I plunged the fork into the possum, ruining my clothes with possum blood. Once the battle was on, I fought relentlessly stabbing the possum over and over until the possum was no more. This is the way fear works.
