Because the Dems would not only lose the homeless voters that they bribe with smokes and booze, but also the dead voting bloc.
Disenfranchising the deceased will not be tolerated!

Because it isn't needed because it is virtually impossible to change the outcome of an election by having hundreds or thousands or ten's of thousands of voters all commit felonies by trying to vote as someone else? Because in the states that have tried to impose it, no examples of voter fraud that could be prevented by picture ID were found? Because it IS a hardship for many folks, especially older folks who don't have driver's licenses, to get an allowable picture ID? The same folks who point to the DMV as a prime example of awful, inefficient government bureaucracy at its worst are the first to claim that it would be quick, efficient and painless for several thousand folks to go to the DMV for voter ID cards.

If you, or anyone, could show that this is actually a real problem in the real world, I would re-consider. Until then, it is a solution looking for a problem that doesn't exist.

Do you think people should go to jail if they commit voter fraud?

Seems to just be commmon sense to have to show ID when you vote. Why are they really against it?

Politicians who commit it yes.

Perhaps the UN and Jimmy Carter should oversee our elections to make sure they are honest

What if we don't care to change your mind. Like on the gay marriage issue we just have to out wait you. Like the gay marriage issue, which we ARE winning, we just outnumber you.

If, for some bizarre reason, one person decides to vote as another person, that probably won't call for jail time. But, if there is some kind of concerted effort to sway an election by voter fraud, then jail time, at least for the ones in charge, would seem warranted.

Gay marriage? The pro gay marriage folks are winning. Are you saying I'm anti-gay marriage?
