I have to use more brain power to use standard than when using metric. I have one measurment at 5/8 of an inch and I need to add 2inch and 3/4 to that and then make a cut. Doing conversions from one standard system to metric to household to apocathery etc... all is challenging and fun. You live in your robot world of 10, I will take the rich history, the fun, the challenge, and the big fcuk you to the rest of the world.  |

The measurement of a mile is interesting. I read this in a book called Be Expert With Map and Compass. i can look at a topo and go off trail to where I want
A mile (mille or thousand) is 1000 Roman soldier average double steps. If you are a navigator, then you need to know your own personal double step measurement. The metric system is superior.
