If it decides to approve homosexual relationships then it must also approve polygamy and polyandry.
It does not have to.
Why doesn't it? Why would the rights of two people be greater than three? And for all intents and purposes the relationship could be considered between two people at any one time.
I see no legal basis for the idea that if same sex marriage is approved that polygamy can not be.
It doesn't change my view as to how the ruling will go, just curious as to what the difference between consenting adults is since that would be the standard.

Libtards love to complain that the court is conservative. If SCOTUS votes 7-2 for gay marriage that will prove libtards wrong yet again.
Every week paul has a new definition for the word 'conservative'.
What's my definition this week?
Do tell.

Why?
Im pretty sure that basic math still holds in your world. 2 does not equal 3.
Why doesnt allowing people with different color hair to marry require the approval of polygamy and polyandry?

But it isn't just a contract and people will never treat it just like a contract. That line is just more pie in the sky nonsense from people out of touch with reality.
Contract law is set up for a situation where there are two disinterested parties of roughly equally bargaining power both looking to guard their own interests. Marriage is about as far as you can possibly get from that.

Which will make it all the more sweet when they crush Obamacare.

So the court being conservative or not hinges on its ruling in one case?
Solid thinking there brah.

So if three people are in a consenting, loving relationship their rights don't apply as if they were only two? Why would they be denied their right to privacy, happiness etc?
No, I see no legal basis to restrict marriage in any form short of age (due to established rule of contract) if same sex marriage is approved.
Multiple people can enter into a contract.

I dont disagree. The argument for polygamy does not hinge on gay marriage.

Simply because "hetero marriage" sets the precedent. If gay marriage results in polygamous marriage, it follows that "hetero marriage" between one woman and one man leads logically to polygamy.

If you are against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation...you are apparently not in the 'conservative' boat.
