I've been saying that Obama was going to get re-elected easily for years. Right wingers used to laugh at my derangement. Now that it's obvious what a clusterfrack the Republican Party has become, the right is trying to pretend that Obama's re-election was always in the cards and has nothing to do with the pathetic Republican Party.
Any competent opponent should be able to beat a sitting President when unemployment is so high and when his approval ratings are so low and whose base isn't exactly thrilled with how he's ignored them.
A candidate like, say, Bloomberg, with the full support of Republicans, could have beaten Obama, but the radical Republican base would never, ever, ever, vote for a moderate Republican. The MSM tries to pretend Romney is a moderate and maybe he used to be when it was convenient for him, but, his pandering to the right has done him no good at all. The right doesn't trust him and moderates are turned off by the pandering. Doesn't help that he is even a worse campaigner than Kerry...words I never thought I would utter.
