I don't have a problem with the father responding publicly because that is how his daughter insulted them, sometimes it is good for kids to feel exactly how it felt when they hurt others.

Once I yelled at a worker in the middle of our yard, he was in the wrong but I shouldn't have yelled at his in front of everyone else. I called him into my office to apologize and then I thought I was pretty chickenshit, I had insulted him in public so I should apologize the same way. so I took him out into the yard and made things right.

I get a kick out of some of the comments on Youtube calling the whole incident abuse and using the gun was threatening, some people just start frothing at the mouth any time they have to see a gun.
