Dumb as eff too... My last job, I was interfacing with a Flextronics factory in Shenzhen. The main process engineer I had to deal with was a MS in Mechanical Engineering - Dude was dumb as they came... Example: We had an outdoor product that we needed to do an air pressure test on to check the seal prior to shipping. We wanted the test itself ran at .5 psi. The process engineer came back and said - the air pressure here is 14.7 psi today so we will need to suck some air out before we can run the test at .5 psi.
Noone here on the outpost has ever made me want to punch them through the monitor - but that process engineer, OMG I wanted to punch him in his mothers cnut every damn day!!!
The best don't work for foreigners. They prefer domestic firms. You have to wonder who is dumb, the foreigners who pay standard for the worst workers, or the kids they are hand-holding.

The people that are dumb is the Chinese people...
Just look at you - you can't even understand the effing problem and jump to some recockulous erroneous conclusion. The smart people work for the people that will pay them the most, the people that will pay them the most are the foreigners. Foreigners paying top rate get the better talent. It's not hard for a foreign company to come in and double the wages of someone making ten cents a day and still get a massive profit margin, and doubling your salary is a no brainer for the 'smart' ones...

Nah, you don't know what you're talking about. There are a lot of off the balance sheet benefits (wealth transfers) involved when working for state firms, and it's not necessarily true that the smartest people will work for the most money if they value nationhood. Lets not forget that you're not the only foreigners there, Japanese and Overseas Chinese tend to pay more than the fat, waddling baigui.
