And since anyone who says humans have souls is basically making it up as they go, you should be able to invent your our soul-having cases, too, Badger.
I would also state that video game characters, mecahnical devices that repair easily, and cutting edge scientific instruments should also have souls, just because they make life worth living.

My opinion of souls is pretty much the same as my opinion of religion.
I do not think it's possible to know the truth. If you are a good person that should be enough for you, and if there is an afterlife for that too. By respecting all living things I respect them as if they have a soul. If they don't I'm still a better person for it. If they do I'll still get into heaven since my respect for living creatures outweighs all my "I promise not to finish in your mouth Miss" lies.

I can't believe whatever I want, it's a vocational restriction. 
I'm just letting Badger know that his position is just as valid as any religious one since they are all fabricated in the first place.
Letting people believe whatever they want allows nutjobs to justify anything they want and allows them to recruit new nutjobs to do their bidding. If nobody calls anyone on it, pretty soon you have lots of death and destruction. Probably better just to call them on it at the start, don't you think?

I have no clue  but if animals do have souls i look forward to seeing all my beloved pets someday. Some people say yes..our pets will be in heaven, others no. I don't think it's worth arguing about, but i really hope so. I would get to see my horse again!
