My mother knew I was an atheist when she was dying - Heck my whole family knew it for a long time.
Not making an issue of it Reese. I pride myself in paying attention so I knew I read it somewhere is all.

Dancing? As in spinning it?
Whatever - back in '08 People considered me an Atheist - I even for argument sake considered myself an Atheist, some people OBVIOUSLY still consider me an Atheist. Heck some people even consider me a liberal or a Dem... People can toss around labels all day long, it doesn't mean the label is right or accurate...
But anyway, back to the point (that everyone seems to eager to dismiss), if you lump in Buddhists with the non-religious, the group becomes even less of a minority not more of a minority... And if I recall correctly (tych help me out here with your superior powers of recollection) this whole off shoot started when Vegetable guy said Atheists were a minority...

Clearly some americans, especially on this board, go nutso when you question the insanity that is religion.

Apparently that's open for debate...
If you go by the strict and correct definition - since I do not believe in a God or Gods, that makes me a atheist, and that's what I considered myself for most of my life.
However, I am not so sure that's the correct 'label' any more... Shrug, labels - not my gimmick anyway... It was only an issue in this thread because someone couldn't keep their talking points straight and ended up adding more to my point by accident...

modern "accepted as correct" christianity came about in the 300s(?)ad when emperor of rome at the time, constantine, decided that the idiot christians bickered too much about which sect was corect and which werent even proper.
he set up the council of nice to determine a SINGLE form christianity to be followed by all less they be banished, burned at the stake as heretics, or slaughtered as blasphemers.
it was at this council where jesus was first declared the son of god and a third of the holy trinity.
so for at least 300 years after the death of jesus himself, youre religion did not believe he was god.
the idea that jesus IS god incarnate is a newer idea that was not part of ANY original canon until the council of nice.
any of you who follow this "new" form of christianity that claim jesus was a divine son of some holy spirit can never claim ANY other sect of christianity is less christian than you are.
if you try this form of argument then you should just stfu now.
