It doesn't matter if he actually believes it or not (For the record, he does), it matters because he is saying all that crazy crap.....and he is winning because of it.
It's not just the candidate that's a nut case, it's the people in the party who are actually supporting him for spewing such hatred and stupidity.
But hey, defend him all ya want.

I'm not defending him at all. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy in your statement.
Obama is just as bad. What was the one thing that he guaranteed would be done before his first term was done? Close Gitmo.
Now nearly 4 years later, Gitmo still open and probably still torturing people and no end in sight for it.
It's pandering. They all say what they think people want to hear to get that almighty vote. The majority of people in this country are not polarized like the 2 parties, which is why when a candidate wins the independent vote they win the presidency. The goal for them is to just tip that independent vote towards their side just enough to win a majority.
Sanatorium just thinks it will be pandering to the social conservatives. Will it work? Who knows but it's going to funny watch him squirm when challenged.

It's amazing that so many Republicans would actually endorse and support a certified fruit loop like Santorum. The man is fucking crazy. He wants to return women to second class citizen status, punish them, keep them knocked up and in the kitchen, and if the sluts get knocked up because they are dirty whores and had sex....it's their own damn fault they should be at home praying instead of out in the world with real people (AKA men).
Don't forget that he would like to abolish public schooling and have woman homeschooling their kids.
