I remember one time I posted a thread here blaming high gas prices on President Bush. The RWNs flung themselves at me like so many flying monkeys for daring to suggest the president had something to do with gas prices.
Under President Bush gas was over $4 a gallon but fell to $1 and change after he opened up leases and allowed drilling to resume. Screw the speculators. If the current administration would quite kow-towing to the Greenies and open up the Gulf and both coasts as well as land-based drilling and refining, we'd see a similar drop in our prices. His recent move against Canada was just foolish. Costs jobs and doesn't help the cost at the pump. I can't tell if he's really that clueless or if this is just part of his plan. At some point, some rational thought is going to have to prevail when it comes to drilling... isn't it?
WTF are we giving other countries money to assist in their off-shore drilling when we reap absolutely no benefit from it?
