Iran is investing heavily in ICBM's that can hit the US east coast. They'll get there within 3-4 years.
Also, Iran has purchased or developed the guidance technology that will be able to guide such missiles.
And oh yeah. They're developing nuclear capacity.

It's obviously a PR play by Israel to get some support from hawks in the US, and get public opinion in the US moving their way to innoculate them when they eventually tangle with Iran.
But I'll admit, the ICBM news is new to me.

Of course its a PR play but I hope, and I know you have AA, that people think this through. There are far more imminent dangers to the US than what Iran could or could not do in three years.

I'm pretty far from a hawk.
But even with me, putting the words "ICBM" and "nukes" in the same paragraph get my attention.
Pakistan is essentially a nuclear protectorate. Either us or China would have to take them over if they got much more unstable.
I don't want the future of the US to be the holding company for failed or insane-and-deposed nuclear regimes. Not unless the world starts paying a LOT of money for the privilege.
It becomes part and parcel of our military and spending picture for that reason. So it is relevant. Not just for the scare factor.

why in the hell would iran attack the US? and just having the capability doesn't mean much. we'd have hours to shoot it down by the time i got to us. then we'd level their entire country.
i'm sure some dipshits will be scared into supporting war because of this, though.

Even if Iran get it, it just changes their position at the table, and doesn't
mean they'll shoot it at someone moment they get it
I'd rather that they don't get it, but I'm also for complete nuclear disarmament,
and how probable is that
