Generally less healthy.

All the best fish from a nutritional point of view (salmon, mackerel, etc) spend at least part of their lives in the ocean.

You are on crack.

Tilapia has a lot of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, B12, niacin, and selenium. Of course there are foods with greater nutritional value; however, to suggest that tilapia has "very little" nutritional value just isn't factual at all.

As far as flavor, to each their own. I've found that tilapia is great in fish tacos. We have it every once in awhile. I'd suggest that anyone trying a tilapia taco next to a "mud" taco would certainly know which one was actually edible and tasty.

Tilapia have very low omega 3 and very high omega 6. So pretty much no.

It does have a fair amount of protein. If you are just looking for protein it isn't a bad choice. But compared to other fish it is poor nutritionally.

In general cold water fish are better nutritionally than warm water fish.

I have no time for cheap crappy fish.

Salmon, Tuna, Shark and Swordfish.

One of the best meals I ever had were Shark Fajitas at Epazote in Del Mar, out on the porch watching the San Diego sunset.

Talipia at Walmart? Wigger please.

Swordfish is overrated. And tuna should only be eaten raw (aside from the scraps).

For everyday eating I prefer snapper for white fish or spanish mackerel and other similar blue-skinned fish (sardines, for example).

Escolar tastes totally amazing, but if you eat too much it gives you the oily poops pretty bad.

I really like dolphin fish as well.
