Although even using the main page.. the beta sign up is down LOL
Too many people flooded the page. I got in the minute they posted it on facebook so I'm good to go

No, they posted messages about it on twitter, facebook, and probably elsewhere. Server is just getting hammered right now so the signup server is going bonkers. Likely the image to the link for the beta from the main page is being served from the beta page, so when the beta server goes down, it looks like the link disappears.
