I do not see anything wrong with it. People tend to make first dates into something bigger than it has to be. I have gone grocery shopping in china town on a first date, and clothes shopping. The second date is more important. /shrug
yes it's always good to introduce your kid to all the dudes that are potentially banging mommy.

Banging guys is clearly not her first priority. She isn't looking for sex she is looking for stability.
Bringing the kid is a good move because if the dude is too immature to be ready to be a daddy or not willing, then he will flee without getting any and save her time.
