A woman invited me to Oil Can Harry's. She is a dance professor and has many gay colleagues. I wouldn't mind seeing her; it is for certain booty. But disco at a gay and lesbian venue? I can have fun anywhere. I just have not been partying lately and I am undecided.

It's not the venue. I have been waking up clear headed on Sundays and it has been wonderful. Tonight sounds like a lot of drinking. I don't have that Viking constitution anymore. I waste an entire day recovering. However the idea of her changing my oil sounds promising.

So don't drink. Or don't drink a lot.
If I want to go out but I don't want to drink I just get high before I go into where ever we're going.
I still have a buzz and feel like partying, but since I'm not drinking I won't regret it in the morning.

I wouldn't go out of my way to go to one but if a squeeze wanted to go I wouldn't care if it was a gay bar or not. Nothing is going to happen that I don't want to happen and usually those people are fun anyway. Not something to do every night but once in a while won't kill you. Unless you're just uptight about that sort of thing. *shrug*

One thing the patrons in a gay bar know how to do, is have fun. (I don't care about the other things they know how to do) 
Anyway, I would go. Big, crazy, old gay bars are sorta like Key West was back in the 80's. Full of gay people of course, but also full of original thinkers, crazed intellectuals, earnestly good natured sociopaths, drug addicted college professors, usually a midget or two, and always a couple of people you can't even start to describe...other than to say "WTF"?
Sure beats watching reruns of Dr. Who and eating a TV dinner. And I love TV dinners and Dr. Who.

My real confession is I'm a crappy dancer. I have dated this dance professor for about a year now, slept with her many times and not danced with her. I'm not afraid to dance. I just have seen myself dancing and it is mediocre at best. This is a narcissistic disability.
