The assault on those guns is my favorite war scene of all time. So great and it shows such great tactics.

AA its a quality series.
Not sure about any 'hook' other than you are pwning yourself by not watching it and experiencing the personal stories of a few of the greatest generation of Americans.

I dunno about that... it's definitely good for sure...

The storming of Normandy scene in the beginning of Saving Private Ryan - was the most intense cinema I've ever seen by a long long shot.

Of course the Bastogne episodes of Band of Brothers were pretty goddamn gnarly too...
